Can You Remove a Tech 21 Tempered Glass Screen Protector and Clean It Then Use It Again

Can you remove and replace tempered glass screen protectors?

I removed mine and put it back on because it wasn't aligned properly. The middle is clear, but I have small spots in 2 corners where something is holding it up off the screen. Still perfectly usable, so I'll continue to use it until it needs to be replaced.

Still, if there is dust stuck to the bottom of your screen protector, I doubt you can get it off without also removing the adhesive from that spot, which would probably look at least as bad as the dust that's there now.

The dust was gone. I used gauze to rub both surfaces with the mixture then a micro fiber cloth on the screen when it was dry. There were a few bubbles left each time but they were gone in a day or so.

    Hey,

Did you remove your screen to clean it?
I'm in the same situation. I (or thought) did a clean install, but it looks like there's more dust underneath it everyday!

I was wondering if removal to clean is possible but google can't help me one this one

You can still remove dust from adhesive side. I've done it using really sticky tape and it worked like a charm with no residue. I was also able to remove and reapply the tempered glass several times with no issues just don't allow your finger oils to get on adhesive side or you will be screwed.

Even in the cleanest of environments, a solid-form "glass" protector will not go back on with all the original clarity as the first time it was installed. You'll certainly get a boat-load of tiny inclusions within the adhesive surface.

ahhmm, no. It´s a glass protector out of (gorilla)glass. If it´s removed by the hand of a gorilla, it would be necessary to have a new one, yes. But if it´s lifted up carefully, then it is no problem to use it more than once or twice.

Risk is breakage. I would not risk it.

If you've done it before then why ask. Just do it again! Where's the confidence?

I meant the screen protector, not the actual gorilla glass.

Yes, use tape to remove the dust.

When you get a screen protector next time, go to place that installs screen protectors and pay them to put it on.

There is no try, only do or do not.

the glass is reusable, i think.

I loved my orzly protector for the small amount of time it was on my screen. It's a great protector and actually holds up to a lot.

However, I did try to peel up the corner to remove some dust, and it just ends up getting all smudgy because I was basically trying to remove dust from an adhesive surface. Didn't work out too well and I had to remove the whole thing. :(
